Quiz Time - With Dr Jekyll

Ok, so out in the big wide world there are those of you who can configure your Amiga's to recognise and run Modems, flatbed or hand scanners, PPC setups, re-writers etc etc etc, ok you clever sods, but how is your general knowledge, if it's like mine then answering questions like "What is the Pope's job" with "He's the gaffer of the Roman Candle church I think ain't he???, or, "How far is it to the Moon" to which I'd reply with something like, "I don't know, I've never been there before" only goes to show on a scale of 1-10, my general knowledge rates at about -2.

But if your one of the many clever ones amongst us, then how do you fancy winning any 6 of the boxed games that I've listed on this file, all you have to do to win any 6 games of your choice is to send me (Dr Jekyll) the 10, yes 10 correct answers to the 10 following questions, 8 or 9 answers won't qualify for the games, only the full 10 answers will do, so if your clever enough to know who was Ceasar's most loyal friend, or what is the square root of 5000, then read on, but if you have problems working out where to stick a floppy disk on your miggy (no rude suggestions please, unless I can suggest it first).

Or you'd like to know if you can run your miggy from a car battery, then please don't reply to this quiz, you'd be lucky to win a 1st class stamp, anyway, as I said before, I've enclosed a big list of spare games that I need to get rid of for storage space only, and to the winner with 10 complete answers you can choose any 6 items of software, I'll even pay the p&p to send the software to you, so this quiz will only cost you a bit of your time and the loss of a few grey cells, but it won't cost you any cash, does that sound good or what, so here goes, here's the 10 questions.

(1)..What was the name of the general who died in the Battle of the Little Big-Horn?.

(2)..Who released the 1973 album called "Goodbye Yellow-Brick Road?".

(3)..Henna is a dye that gives hair a tinge of which colour?.

(4)..Lake Victoria is the largest lake of which continent?.

(5).."Navvies" were best known for building what?.

(6)..Often eaten in soup, what are croutons made of?.

(7)..Who did the original "Peeping Tom" peep at?.

(8)..Which biblical Character was supposedly swallowed by a big fish or whale?.

(9)..Who or what are the Kamikaze of world war II?.

(10)..What is the name of the outer part or skin called of a citrus fruit called?.

So there you go, now, you can either send your answers directly to The Cryptvia our many e-mail address's or however you send in your normal articles, or send your answers to me via normal mail, and address your replies to me as "The Crypt Quiz, Dr Jekyll, 20 Charles Street Rugby, Warks, CV21 2EW, now I reckon that 3 months from the date this article goes into the next issue should be enough time to get your answers together and back to us, or me at my home address, if there's a tie-break situation, then the person who has sent in their answers first will get the first choice of 6 items of software, the 2nd will get a 2nd choice the 3rd will get etc etc, if all goes well, I might get rid of all my unwanted software in one swoop, I wish....No, the outright winner or winners will not only get their free software from me with p&p paid by me, but they'll also see their name or names in one of the future issues of TC, now, as far as the answers go if sent to ME ONLY, you can either enclose a hand written letter with the answers on, or do a text file and put it on a miggy formatted floppy disk, ok, but if you want to, you can send your answers to either Ferret (Ian Fyvie) or Dungeon Master (Ray Hawkins) at either of their two home address's that have appeared on issues 14 and 15.

Now, if there's any of you who don't want to enter my quiz, but you'd like to buy any of the above software, forget it, it's going for "FREE", yes, that's right, free, ziltcho, nowt, nothing etc etc, well, I say FREE, the software is free, but it will cost you a 1 or 2 in either cash or 1st class stamps, the above software has been in my computer room for far too long, I've tried to sell it but to no avail, so I'll hopefully shift some of it with this quiz, and some of it as freebies but with a small cost for p&p.

Well, that's about it for now,get your thinking caps on, have some extra Cornflakes of Shredded wheat to get the old grey matter working and give this quiz a go.......Many thanks.........
